I have over 50 years of experince in the Human Resources field with extensive experience as a HR consulrtant. I had 30 years experience at 3M where I was head of 3M HR at the time of my retirement in 1992. At 3M I served as Division HR manager to 10 operating divisions serving primarily as a HR consultant. I have recently helped five 5 Austin start-up companies and coordinated all of their HR requirements. I have been retired for the past several years and am tired of being retired. There is no HR project to big or small for me. I was previously certified as a Senior Human Resoources Professional (SHRM) by the Society for Human Resource Management in 1999 but let it expire after my active consultaning ended. As your consultant my primary responsibilities to your company would be as follows: - Advise companies on best human capital management practices. - Help clients strategically integrate effective HR processes, programs and practices into their daily operations - Perform internal reviews and audit of current systems and policies. - Perform quality assurance checks. - Deliver wage and benefit surveys to management and employees. - Conduct investigations and research into reclassification and classification. - Match job seekers to employers. - Ensure business practices are in accordance with human resource policies and labor laws. - Help train managers and HR employees. - Provide company with updated salary and job description information. - Help implement applicant tracking systems. - Provide consultation and guidance to senior management and organizational partners in the interpretation of human resource management policies, procedures, programs and application of related government laws and regulations. - Lead HR-related projects. - Provide advice on discipline process, conduct disciplinary review conferences and advise on appropriate outcomes. - Develop employee restructuring plans. - Devise severance packages. - Participate in the design, development and implementation of innovative workforce retention programs. - Provide review and approval of requests for reduction-in-force, reorganizations/realignments.
