Do you have a Master's Degree OR 10 years experience in your field?
Will you have an hour of spare time every week or two this January through the end of March?
Do you want to do something amazing for the universe, AND make tons of money?! (Okay, $480).

Hi, my name is Megan Berry, and I am currently in my senior year at Prescott College. My core studies are fine arts, and I have a breadth of social science, as I ultimately intend to pursue a career as a family counselor with a specialization in Expressive Art Therapy, likely with multiple modalities - such as visual art, music, writing/poetry, etc. I do have an interest in Adventure Therapy and Culinary Therapy as well.

Right now I am looking for someone with the above qualifications to collaborate with me on designing a course, and being my "mentor" for the course in the Spring 2016 semester! As my mentor, you would help me decide on what texts (if any) I should read, what my assignments or projects/art should be, and what I would need to do to successfully complete the course - basically, help design my syllabus. Then we would meet approximately once a week or two to discuss progress - this can be through an online platform such as email, skype, online portfolio, etc. - meeting in person is not necessary. If you would prefer to see my progress in person if you're local (Round Rock), face to face meetings can be arranged.

This is largely a volunteer position (which is why you'd be doing something awesome for the universe!), but the college does give a sort of stipend as a thank you for your time, which is $60 per credit hour - so $480 for the two 4 credit hour courses we will design (or one large, very involved 8-hour course).

I have a few ideas for the course/s - I would like to explore more by way of watercolor or acrylic, mosaics, or mixed media (non-toxic media), but am open to ideas right now. I have not yet decided on my senior thesis, so this will largely influence that - right now I am open to exploring almost anything on the spectrum from fine arts to psychology. It would be a bonus to be able to combine them in our course. I'm considering environmental/animal rights' issues as possible subject matter.

I look forward to hearing from you! Please respond ASAP so I can prepare the course contracts for submission to be approved!

If you would like to learn more or have any suggestions for me, please contact me immediately!

Thank you so much,

Megan
